Well I have been a bit AWOL from the blog for a while. I am sorry. A month ot so ago I fell apart a little bit and needed to drag myself back together. I am feeling better and stronger now.
A b it of an update… well, Evan is now 1! How on earth did that happen? He is an incredible little ball of fun and energy. He is cheeky and funny and also ridiculously annoying at times! He doesn’t walk much anymore, he runs or does this adorable little skippy dancy run. He loves anything that makes noise, especially if he can set off 3 or 4 at a time. He is quick to smile and laugh and we all love him so so much. He had hand, foot and mouth a couple of weeks ago which was horrible, poor little mite but apart from that he is loving life and causing mischief wherever he goes!
Dylan is back at school and after an initial wobble he is happy to be back in the swing of things. He really likes his new teacher and he loves getting to choose a snack at break time. His reading is coming on in leaps and bounds and we are slowly ploughing through his Roald Dahl library which he is loving. Dylan is also really enjoying doing homework (wtf!) and going to after school science club.
And apart from falling apart I have been ok. I had a fringe cut (which I sort of love and sort of hate in equal measure) and then on Wednesday I had my foot operation. I got myself into a right old state before hand and was nearly 100% sure that I wouldn’t survive the operation… ridiculous. I tend to er on the side of gloom when it comes to things to do with me! Anyway I might tell the whole story another time. Anyways I had the op and now I am off my feet and finding it hard to not do anything!
And then there is Joe. The glue that holds our family together. My best friend. My rock. He is amazing and I have no idea what I would do without him. He keeps me sane and smiling. He is the most amazing husband and father in the world and I am thankful every single day that he chose to stumble through life with me by his side.
So that is me in a nutshell… expect more as I am being a lay-about-recluse at the moment!
